This Privacy Notice (the "Notice") describes the personal information that IPMN International (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and processes through our website https://www.ipmnglobal.org (the “Website”). It also describes the rights and options available to users of our Website with respect to their personal information.

THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND USE

Information you provide when you contact us with an inquiry.

You can submit an inquiry by emailing us at the address indicated on the Website or through the “contact” form on the Website. When you do so, we typically will receive and process your email address, name, and all other content you include in your message (“Inquiry Information”).

We will use your Inquiry Information to contact you about your inquiry and handle and respond to your inquiry.

Information you provide when you submit a grant application.

You can also use the Website to apply to receive a funding grant. When you do so, you will be asked to provide information such as your name, email, biographical information, and research proposal. The mandatory fields for completion will be marked as such (“Application Information”). We will use the Application Information to process and consider your grant application.

Information you share when you participate in Journal Club meetings

The “Journal Club” is a virtual, video-conference meet-up in which articles are presented by researchers followed by a commentary on the topic by experts in the field. When you join in any Journal Club session, we will collect you name and login information as a participant. If you actively participate in any Journal Club session, your video and voice will be recorded, unless you turn off your camera or microphone.

Analytics information about your use of the Website.

When you visit and browse the Website, we record and collect information about your interaction with the Website, including the IP address from which you access the Website, time, date and duration of access, type of browser used, language used, pages viewed, links clicked, and actions taken while using the Website ("Analytics Information").

We will use the Analytics Information to inform our decisions on how to adapt the Website’s functions, and content.

INFORMATION THAT WE SHARE

We will not share your information with third parties, except in the events listed below or when you provide us your explicit and informed consent.

We share your information with those that help us to operate the Website and our activities.

We will share your personal information with our advisors, service providers and partners who assist us with the internal operations of the Website, our organization, and the grant review and approval process. These are individuals (such as advisors), not-for-profit organizations (such as the Research Fund of the Hadassah Medical Organization) and companies (like Wix) who are authorized to use your personal information only in this context and not for their own purposes.

We share Journal Club sessions with those participating in the session; A recorded copy of each Session is available for viewing by the Website’s users.

If you actively participate in any Journal Club session, your video and voice will presented to all other participants of the session, unless you turn off your camera or microphone. We also record each journal club session, and your video and voice will be recorded to the same extent and the session posted on the Website for viewing by the Website’s users.

 

We will share your Information with competent authorities, if you abuse your right to use the Website, or violate any applicable law.

If you abused your rights to use the Website, or violated any applicable law, we may share your information with competent authorities and with third parties (such as legal counsels and advisors), for the purpose of handling of the violation or breach.

We will share your Information if we are legally required to do so.

We will share your information if we are required to disclose your information by a judicial, governmental or regulatory authority.

We will share your Information with third-parties in any event of change in our structure.

If the operation of the Website or the grants is organized within a different framework, or through another legal structure or entity, we will share your information only as required to enable the structural change in the operation of the Website or grants.

We retain your information for as long as we need it to operate the and manage the grants that we offer.

We will retain your information for the duration needed to support our ordinary activities operating the Website and grants. Thereafter, we will still retain your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, for recordkeeping requirements, to resolve disputes, establish and defend legal claims and enforce our contracts.

We implement measures to secure your information.

We implement some measures to reduce the risks of damage, loss of information and unauthorized access or use of information, such as encryption of the data during its transmission to our servers in the course of the checkout process. However, these measures do not provide absolute information security. Therefore, although efforts are made to secure your personal information, it is not guaranteed, and you cannot expect that the Website will be immune from information security risks.
